As the end of December approaches, I feel the need to look at my life retrospectively to reflect on what the past year brought me. I have mentioned many times before that I like to plan and work with goals and intentions. Therefore, I have expectations for what I want to achieve in any given period of time.
I was recently invited to speak on a podcast where the host thoroughly prepared the questions to explain my story about how I managed to be successful in times of change.
Giving and receiving feedback can be a challenging task, even though having an opinion comes naturally to most of us. We may assume that good intentions land with good reactions, but often, someone is hurt in the process.
Here I am, one year after sending the first newsletter article to YOU: my Growing and Blooming audience. I am elated to celebrate this moment. I see it as a reason to appreciate and reflect upon the progress, as well as an opportunity to examine the method that brought me to this milestone full of new lessons.

How do you make the most of your time and abilities?
I once read a biography of Hilary Clinton’s life while on vacation many summers ago. I vividly remember reading about her struggle to decide whether or not to enter a career in politics. She spoke with several people in various fields, most of them politicians or changemakers.
I recently attended a Taraf de Caliu performance with my father. This folk music ensemble performs several songs inspired by Romani traditions, all very similar to the ones we heard growing up in Artari, Romania
Recently, I facilitated a new series of mastermind meetings together with Magor Csibi. At the end, with no exception, everyone gave the same feedback.
My biggest motivation behind writing these emails is to create or enforce a culture of sharing. As an adult, I always seek to learn in ways that support my development.
I recently heard a friend say that she always overpays for her holidays because she plans at the very last minute. Although she and her partner have important leadership roles in two big companies where they use their planning skills to get outstanding results, when it comes to planning their personal lives, they just don’t use these skills.
